Jesus received a B.S. in Physics from the University of Texas at Brownsville in 2014, and a Post-Baccalaureate in Astrophysical Sciences from Princeton University in 2016, before joining the Applied Physics department at the University of Michigan. His research interests include high intensity laser plasma interactions, laser wakefield acceleration, Quantum Electrodynamic effects and directed energy acceleration.
