Research Area Keywords: high-repetition liquid targetry, ultrafast laser-driven fusion
neutron sources, high intensity laser plasma interactions

Nick received dual bachelor’s degrees in Electrical Engineering and Computer Engineering following graduation and commissioning from the U.S. Naval Academy in 2012. Prior to joining the High Field Science Group in 2018, he served on active duty in the US Navy as a Civil Engineer Corps Officer. His research interests include the development of femtosecond laser-driven high-brightness fast neutron and X-ray sources, inertial electrostatic confinement (IEC) fusion, and entrepreneurial radiological applications for kHz/mJ class commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) ultrafast Ti:Sapphire laser systems.
